Behind the artwork
Avanee Kamble’s story
I chose to paint a piano surrounded by watercolour because music has always been a huge part of my life. To me, music is more than just notes and melodies; it is a way of telling stories, expressing emotions, and interpreting experiences. I wanted to represent how the same song can mean something completely different to each person who listens to it. Much like watercolour, where colours blend, overlap, and create something unique, music allows for endless interpretations. The different colours surrounding the piano symbolize these different perspectives, emotions, and stories. I wanted my painting to capture the idea that although we may all hear the same music, we each experience it in our own way.
